Meguiar’s PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish (4 oz.)

• Gently removes light oxidation, chemical degradation, surface contamination, stains and light surface scratches with ease. It features water resistant polymers that provide long-lasting durable protection. This cleaner and plastic polish contains a rich gel formula that quickly restores optical clarity to both rigid and flexible clear plastics.

Headlight Coating (4 oz.)

• A proprietary spray coating that helps to improve and maintain optical clarity on freshly cleaned or restored headlights for up to a year. This unique formula provides durable UV protection and comes in an easy-to-use aerosol spray application. Meguiar’s Keep Clear Headlight Coating will give you the long-lasting clarity you're looking for.

How-To

Step 1

• Start with a headlight cleaning. Remove dirt and dust with a glass cleaner and microfiber towel and mask around the headlight.

Step 2

• Attach the 1000 grit disc to the hand pad, dunk the disc into water or spray water directly onto the disc, and repeat this periodically to ensure that the pad stays wet.

Step 3

• Sand side to side until the headlight has a uniform frosted appearance and wipe dry with a microfiber towel. Repeat this process with the 3000 grit disc, but work up and down instead of side to side.

Step 4

• Follow with PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish and the included wool pad on a standard corded drill (between 1200 and 2500 RPMs) to polish the plastic back up to clarity. Work in thoroughly using moderate pressure for 1-2 minutes and wipe off with a microfiber towel. If needed, repeat this multiple times until the lens is clear.

Step 5

• Spray with glass cleaner and wipe with a microfiber towel before applying the headlight coating for protection. Shake well and apply a medium coat of the headlight coating to the entire surface of the headlight, overlapping your passes by 50%. Allow to cure for 3-5 minutes and then apply a second coat for a thorough seal. The headlight coating will then be fully cured after 24 hours.
