Vehicle theft is still common in a lot of areas, and if you're lucky enough to retrieve your stolen vehicle, you're probably so relieved to have it back that you may not have considered the possibility of drug contamination. Sometimes car thefts use stolen vehicles as a site for illegal drug activities if they have a drug habit or deal drugs.

If you are a victim of having your vehicle stolen or broken into, be cautious not to touch or go near the vehicle until you can be sure it is safe to do so. With the growing health concern and risk involved with the toxic substance of fentanyl, we have shifted our focus and now specialize in Illicit Fentanyl Decontamination and Neutralization.

Our Process

At Meticulous Detailing, we do not enter a vehicle without protecting ourselves with Personal Protective Equipment. These include face masks, gloves, and a protective suit to prevent any residue from being ingested or contacting our skin.

Once we're protected, our Hazmat Technician performs a Fentanyl and Meth test, along with a complete inspection using special tools to pick and search through the vehicle. We perform a complete vehicle drug testing inspection, locating any weapons, sharp objects (like needles or razor blades, broken glass), bodily fluids, potential rodent infestations, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and drug residue which involves testing surfaces.

Once we’ve determined what or if any contamination is present, we move onto cleaning, which will eliminate illicit drugs, blood-borne pathogens or bodily fluids, insect or rodent infestations, and any other hazardous materials that are found along with general garbage and debris. This cleaning process is the ultimate detailing package and involves an extensive rigorous procedure completed by trained technicians.

Vehicle decontamination can typically involve one to three days depending on what is detected in the initial inspection and time allowed for taking the interior apart, drying after steam cleaning, and re-assembly.

At the end of the day though, the thoroughness of our vehicle decontamination guarantees your vehicle will once again be safe for you, your family, your pets, and your groceries! To top off the process, we use an Ozone Generator to remove any lingering odours.

How We Protect Ourselves From Decontamination

All of our staff are accredited with the following training: Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), worker training, vehicle inspection training, and hazardous contaminated waste removal training. Not only that, but Naloxone kits are easily accessible on site to save our life in case of emergency during vehicle decontamination process.
